POLICE are investigating the theft of two mountain bikes, worth a total of £150, from a shed in Darlington.
Thieves forced entry to the shed in the rear yard of a property in Pensbury Street, between 10.30pm and 11.30pm, on Tuesday (December 17).
The stolen bikes are a black Excelsior men’s mountain bike, with 15 gears and a silver Shockwave men’s mountain bike.
Officers have urged householders to secure items of value that are left in outbuildings, including implements which could aid offenders during a theft.
Householders are also advised to use shed alarms and install security lighting where possible.
