THE following cases were heard by South Durham Magistrates sitting at Darlington Magistrates' Court:

BAIL GRANTED: Anthony Foster, of Marrick Avenue, Darlington, denied stealing a bike belonging to an 11-year-old child on July 10 this year. The 26-year-old was granted unconditional bail ahead of his trial on March 18.

CHARGES DENIED: Jamie Bethell, 22, of Jedburgh Drive, Darlington, denied one charge of affray and Robert Place, 37, also of Jedburgh Drive, denied a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm. The pair, who are neighbours, are alleged to have fought in their Darlington street on December 2 this year. Magistrates denied jurisdiction and the pair were granted conditional bail ahead of a hearing at Teesside Crown Court on Tuesday, January 7.

NO SHOW: Mohammed Rahim Ullah, 48, of an unknown address failed to appear at Darlington Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday, December 17) to answer a charge of harassment without violence. Magistrates issued a warrant not backed with bail for his arrest.
