A CHARITY is looking for brave and big-hearted dippers to shake off their Christmas sloth and plunge into the waves at Seaton Carew.

The annual Boxing Day dip is the perfect chance for anybody feeling a bit stodgy after too much Christmas pudding, or too many mince pies, to dash to splash in the North Sea while raising money for charity.

The event kicks off at 11am and organiser Kirsty Barnfather is hoping more people will sign up and raise cash for the Daisy Chain charity.

She said: “We would love to hear from more people prepared to go the extra mile for a worthwhile charity. Forget your nerves, forget the cold – focus on the good you’ll be doing.”

Daisy Chain is a Norton-based charity that provides support and services for people affected by autism across the Tees Valley from Darlington to Hartlepool, from Durham to Redcar.

Brave souls can sign up at www.daisychainproject.co.uk or contact the Challenges Team on 01642-531248.
