The Redcar Area Foodbank will be open on Monday, December 23 at St Hilda’s Church on the corner of Mersey Road and Roseberry Road, between 11am and 2pm.

The regular events on the Wednesday and Thursday which fall on Christmas Day and Boxing Day will not take place.

The next session will take place on Friday, December 27 between 11am and 2pm at All Saints Church, South Avenue, Dormanstown, and St George’s Church, Normanby, between 9.30am and 10.30am.

FESTIVE CHOIR: Thornaby Town Council would like to invite everyone to sing Christmas carols around the Five Lamps on Mitchell Avenue in Thornaby on Friday, December 20 at 6.30pm, followed by a glass of hot mulled wine and a mince pie in the Roundel afterwards. Joining them will be the Salvation Army band and children from St Patrick’s College Choir.
