ARSONISTS have targeted an empty property which was set on fire on Richardson Street in Hartlepool.

Suspects entered the terraced house and set fire to the living room, which destroyed the inside of the building, at around 1am on Tuesday 3rd December.

No one was injured in the incident.

PHONE STOLEN: A man has suffered head minor injuries after being attacked by a gang of four or five men who then stole his mobile phone. The 28-year-old was robbed at the junction of Bute Grove and Kyle Avenue, Hartlepool between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday, December 9. The suspects are described as white males, aged around 25-years-old and they were all wearing dark clothing. Any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Temporary Detective Sergeant Phil Agar from Hartlepool Police on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
