The Valley Gardens loos
The toilets in the games pavilion and cafe at the Valley Gardens in Harrogate have won the Eco Friendly category in the National Loo Awards. It is the second time Harrogate Borough Council has won this award, previously winning for their the loos in Knaresborough.
Hospital award: Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust has been highly commended in the latest edition of the Dr Foster Hospital Guide for making significant improvements in weekend performance. The award recognises improved readmission rates for patients initially admitted or discharged at a weekend.
