BACON and pork joints worth about £400 have been stolen from a farm outbuilding. Police in Ryedale are appealing for information after the theft from a farm near Coulton, North Yorkshire. It happened overnight between Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6, when thieves stole bacon and pork joints sealed in shrink-wrapped plastic with green labels. Anyone who thinks they may have been offered the stolen items or has any other information should contact PC Steven Leach, from Helmsley Safer Neighbourhood Team either via email: or by ringing 101 and asking for Steven Leach.

CONCERT CANCELLED: A concert planned by The Dalesman Singers, which was due to take place at St Hilda’s Church in Danby Dale, North Yorkshire, on December 17 has been cancelled.
