NUNTHORPE Academy is inviting members of the public to its annual Christmas Carol Concert on Tuesday, December 10.

The festive evening will include performances by students from Nunthorpe Academy, Nunthorpe Sixth Form and massed primary school choirs from Chandlers Ridge Academy, The Avenue Primary School and Nunthorpe Primary School.

The performance will take place at St Mary’s Cathedral, Cathedral House, Dalby Way, Middlesbrough, from 7pm.

SANTA VISIT: Santa will be making a special visit to St Peter’s Church, Lord Street, Redcar, for its coffee morning on Saturday, December 14 from 10am to noon when a host of festive fun will be taking place.

TABLE TOP SALE: The Friends of Redcar Cemetery are holding table top sale at the New Life Church on West Dyke Road, Redcar tomorrow (Saturday, December 7), from 10am to 12.30pm. The group has also organised an event at Laburnum Road Library on December 13, from 10am to 12.30pm and then from 1.30pm to 3pm with tea, coffee and cakes on sale as well as a raffle.

CRAFT FAIR: A craft fair will be held at Linthorpe Community Centre, Middlesbrough, tomorrow (Saturday, December 7) from 10am to 3pm. Stalls will include children’s books by a local author, a raffle and a chance to win a book. All proceeds from the raffle will go to Riding for the Disabled and the donkey sanctuary.

TASTY LUNCH: A soup and sweet lunch, compromising home-made soup, desserts and tea or coffee, will be held at Zetland Park Methodist Church, The Crescent, Redcar, tomorrow (Saturday, December 7), from 11.30am, admission £4. There will also be a cake stall.
