THE outlook was fun when BBC weather presenter Paul Mooney visited a County Durham school.
The popular BBC Look North forecaster popped in to see Year 3 pupils at Barnard Castle Prep School and help them with their studies into the weather.
He explained why weather reports were needed and how the BBC goes about compiling them.
They in turn were able to tell him all they had learned about different types of weather.
Mr Mooney then encouraged the youngsters to have a go at reading the weather forecast, with pupils taking it in turn to be camera operators, directors and presenters.
He said he had been impressed with the youngsters' efforts during his visit.
