CONCERN is growing after a pensioner was reported missing from home yesterday (Thursday, December 5).

Sydney Presgrave was last seen the day before between 5.30pm and 6pm when he took a taxi from his home in Stockton to the Middleton One Row area of Darlington and was walking in the direction of the River Tees, away from the Devenport Hotel on The Front.

The 81-year-old has mobility issues and requires essential medication which he does not have with him.

He is described as a white male, around 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build with grey hair which is balding on top. He was wearing a grey duffle coat with a dark coloured scarf, a dark coloured flat cap (possibly brown) and was walking with the aid of a walking stick.

Detective Inspector Matt Murphy-King said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Mr Presgrave and need to trace him as soon as possible. Mr Presgrave has issues with mobility and will be in need of his medication. Anyone who may know of his whereabouts is asked to contact police as a matter of urgency.”

Anyone with information on Mr Presgrave’s whereabouts or anyone who may have seen him is asked to contact police on 101.
