RICHMOND Round Table is holding a coffee morning in Richmond Town Hall on Saturday (Dec 7) from 9am until noon, with various stalls, a tombola and raffle. Father Christmas will be making an appearance to help collect for local charities.

Father Christmas will then be doing his rounds of Richmond areas including Reeth Road on Monday (December 9); Darlington Road and Gilling Road on Tuesday; Cutpurse Road on Wednesday; Cross Lanes and surrounding areas on Thursday; and in Catterick Garrison on Friday. At 4pm on Saturday, December 14, Father Christmas will be in the Friary Gardens.

On Sunday, December 15, he will visit the Crown in Brompton-on-Swale at 9.45am; the Bay Horse in Catterick Village at 10.45am; the Farmers Arms in Scorton at 11.45am; the Stanwick Arms in Aldbrough St John at 12.35pm; the Black Bull in Melsonby at 3.15pm; the Bay Horse in Ravensworth at 4.15pm and the Angel Inn, Gilling West, at 5.15pm.

Paul Lindley from the Round Table said: “There has been some confusion as to why the town’s Christmas tree is not in its usual spot in the Market Place this year – it is because of the redevelopment work at the Green Howards Museum so it is in the Friary Gardens instead.”
