POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision in which three-year-old Danny Wake was killed, one month on from the tragedy.

Danny, from the Lascelles Park area of Darlington, was knocked down and killed on Monday, November 4 while walking with his mother, younger brother and a six-year-old relative.

He was struck by a vehicle near the junction of Falmer Road and Neasham Road, in the town, at about 10.35am as they returned from town after picking up an Argos catalogue so Danny could choose his Christmas presents.

Danny was wearing a bright green coat his mother was pushing a pushchair when the collision happened.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Danny has yet to be traced.
