A LASER display promises to help Darlington’s outdoor carol service become one to remember this year.
The event on December 17 will be hosted by the mayor, Councillor Charles Johnson, and will see festivities in Market Square between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
Entertainment will include the Cockerton Silver Band, Sans Pariel Singers and a laser display that will light up the night sky.
During the event The Bistro in the Dolphin Centre will be open so revellers can enjoy a hot drink while carolling.
Coun Johnson said: “This concert promises to be an exciting night for all the family.
“I hope to see the population of Darlington wrapped up warm and getting involved in this lovely Christmas tradition – with added lasers!”
The event will be sponsored by Carmel Academy, Hummersknott Academy, Darlington Partnership, the BID Team and Mech Tool.
There is no admission charge but there will be collections for the Mayor’s charities, which will be decided on when Coun Johnson reaches the end of his term in office.
