SANTAS of all ages and abilities are being encouraged to take part in a charity fun run in aid of Herriot Hospice Homecare.
The Santa Fun Run, at Thorp Perrow, near Bedale, will be held on December 8 at 11am over a 5km course in the parkland and is open to runners, joggers and walkers of all ages.
Each entrant will be provided with a Santa outfit to wear during the run and will receive a mince pie when they complete the course.
There are more than 70 Santas entered for the run but spaces are still available and more entries are welcome.
The entry fee for the event is £10 for adults and £5 for children under 13. The Charity is encouraging runners to raise sponsorship money and anyone who raises over £20 will receive a gift.
