A WOMENS’ refuge and a junior football club are among four Darlington community groups to receive a financial boost from Lloyds Bank.
The 2013 Lloyds Bank Community Fund involves the public voting for local groups to receive small grants.
The most voted for groups in Darlington were Breathe Easy Darlington, a volunteer support group for people affected by lung conditions, and Family Help Darlington CIO, a refuge that helps women and children victims of domestic abuse.
Both groups received £3,000 from the community fund.
Darlington RA Juniors football club received £300, as did the homeless charity First Stop Darlington.
