Chance to shop the fair way at Egglescliffe, near Stockton
PREPARATIONS are underway for a sale of handcrafted Fairtrade goods and a Fairtrade cafe this weekend.
The shop-for-the-day event is being held on Saturday, October 26 at Egglescliffe CE Primary School, Egglescliffe, near Yarm, between 10.30am and 1pm.
It has been organised as part of Fairtrade Stockton and, as well as a chance to buy Christmas gifts, there will be a talk from Lynette Leason, of Yarm Methodist Church, about a recent trip to Vietnam.
Maureen Rigg, Chair of the Stockton Borough Fairtrade Partnership, said: “There will be opportunities not only to buy presents and cards for Christmas, but to view and purchase a beautiful selection of fair trade crafts, fashions and food from around the world.”
Profits from the cafe will go to the Christian Aid charity.
