Halloween tours at Kiplin Hall

A COUNTY house is hosting a spooky torchlight tour in time for Halloween.
The 400-year-old Jacobean Kiplin Hall, between Scorton and Northallerton, has had many spine-tingling accounts of eerie experiences have been recorded over the years.
Stories are told of sounds, smells and sightings in and around the historic Hall, including a lady in Victorian dress on the main staircase; the presence of a governess in the Servants’ Tunnel; a Cavalier in the garden; echoing footsteps, a hint of pipe smoke in the Second World War Kitchen, and sounds of sobbing and sighting of a young lady in the old Governess’s room.
The 90-minute tours take place at 6pm and 8pm on Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £7 for children, who must be aged eight or over and not of a nervous disposition. Refreshments included. Please bring torches. For bookings and further information contact 01748-818178 or email email@example.com.
