Free fireworks display at Seaton Carew, Hartlepool
A FREE Fireworks Spectacular has been planned at Seaton Carew, near Hartlepool on Saturday, November 2.
Organised by Hartlepool Council and sponsored by Niramax Total Waste Solutions, the theme of this year’s event is Superheroes.
The fun begins at 4pm with a children’s funfair and stalls near the paddling pool and the fireworks start at 6.30pm. A park and ride bus service will operate from the bus stop in front of Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience in Marina Way between 5pm and 6pm, return fares will be £1.50 for adults and 50p for children. TASTER EVENING. Stockton Young Farmers are holding a taster evening on Monday, October 28 at Middleton St George village WI Hall from 7.30pm to 9pm. The club, County Durham’s oldest which also recruits from the Darlington area, is under threat of closure and has launched a recruitment drive. Members stress you don’t need to be a farmer to join the group which is for ten to 26-year-olds. There will be fun activities and demonstrations on the night.
SMOKE ALARMS: Cleveland Fire Brigade is supporting a campaign for house-holders to check their smoke alarms at the same time they change the clocks as Britain moves to winter time this weekend.
