Dog freed after getting its head stuck in a wall in Hurworth Place, Darlington
5:57pm Tuesday 22nd October 2013 in News
A YOUNG dog found himself in a rather tight spot after getting his head stuck in a wall.
The black Labrador, thought to be about two-years-old, had got its head trapped between a boundary wall between its own house and garden in Hurworth Place, near Darlington.
The young pup had struggled so much that when fire crews arrived at the property this afternoon (Tuesday, October 22), it was upside down and lying on its back.
Fire crews were called at 2.15pm and the dog was freed at about 3.45pm.
Crew manager Ian Coates said firefighters removed a piece of cladding from the house to help free the dog.
He said: “The dog was examined by a vet on scene who gave it a clean bill of health.”
