Charity to hold Christmas fair in Northallerton
3:18pm Friday 18th October 2013 in News
A CHRISTMAS fair to raise money for a charity that provides end of life care to people in North Yorkshire will take place in Northallerton on Saturday, November 23.
Herriot Hospice Homecare gives care to people in Hambleton and Richmondshire with life-limiting illnesses and allows them to stay in their own homes.
The area covers more than 1,000 square miles and the services are free of charge – and this year the hospice needs to raise around £500,000 to continue providing a service to the local community. Following on from two previous years of successful Christmas Fairs, the event will take place in the Golden Lion, Northallerton, and will have stalls selling a wide range of Christmas gifts and decorations. The event will coincide with the well-established Croftbridge Craft Fair, taking place in the Mowbray Suite of the pub, and the charity fair will be in the conservatory and Yorkshire Suite.
There are a few stalls left for exhibitors which cost £30 for the whole day – call Victoria on 01609-777413.
The venue will be open for stalls to set up from 8am and the event will be open to the public from 10am until 4pm. Admission to the public will be free of charge.
