Top Gear stuntman on the bill for racing weekender
ONE of the stunt driving co-ordinators on hit BBC show Top Gear will add to the entertainment for crowds at a motorsport event this weekend.
Darlington-based Paul Swift will carry out precision-driving demonstrations during the British Rallycross Championship finale and grand prix, at Croft Circuit, near Darlington, on Saturday (October 19) and Sunday.
A large family funfair will keep the excitement buzzing for parents and children, with car owners clubs also in attendance with various genres of two- and four-wheel motor sport including Yorkshire Dales Autograss, Drift cars and Speedway motorbikes.
On the track the eagerly-anticipated action is headlined by rallycross’s outrageous 550bhp Supercars that are capable of accelerating from 0-100kph in a staggering 2.5 seconds.
On the Saturday, the 2013 MSA British Rallycross title will be decided before Sunday’s ‘free-for-all’ British Rallycross Grand Prix.
Tickets are priced £10 for Saturday and £13 for Sunday if booked in advance at croftcircuit.co.uk or by calling 01325-721815.
Admission for accompanied children aged 15 and under is free all weekend.
