1:08pm Thursday 17th October 2013 in News
YOUNGSTERS have the chance to hone their footballing skills at special soccer schools during half-term.
Sunderland AFC’s charity arm, the Foundation of Light, will hold sessions for all ages from October 28 to November 1.
These include two–day and three-day courses for five to 14 year olds at venues across Wearside and County Durham, including Goals Soccer Centre, Sunderland, St Robert of Newminster School, Washington, Jubilee Fields Community Centre, Shildon, Pelton Community Primary School, and schools in Chester-le-Street and Belmont in Durham City.
There will also be a separate session at Sandhill View Sports Centre, Sunderland, on October 28 and 29, for young people aged five or over, who have a physical or learning disability.
For ‘little dribblers’ aged three to five, the Foundation of Light will be hosting two-hour training sessions at the Stadium of Light on October 28 and 30, with additional sessions on Friday, November 1, which also include a stadium tour.
Prices range from £3 to £15 per person, with SAFC season ticket holders receiving a 20 per cent discount on two and three day sessions.
