TWO of Northallerton’s most famous sons are going head-to-head.
The public are being offered a unique chance to hear mountaineer Alan Hinkes and internationally-renowned photographer Joe Cornish in conversation.
The pair will be at the Joe Cornish Galleries on Zetland Road, Northallerton, on October 23 discussing themes around their new joint exhibition “From North Yorkshire to the top of the world.”
The exhibition, to run from October 26 to November 23, features photographs taken from Mr Hinkes’ new book '8000m: Climbing the World's Highest Mountains' and a new series of photographs by Joe Cornish of the north of England and, in particular, North Yorkshire.
Tickets for the talk are £20 or £30 - including supper - and are available from the galleries on 01609-777404 or online at joecornishgalleries.co.uk.
