West Auckland's long-awaited football statue to be officially unveiled

THE statue commemorating the centenary of West Auckland winning the first World Cup will be officially unveiled on West Auckland Village Green at 4.30pm tomorrow (October 12) by Sir John Hall, former football David Thompson and actor Tim Healy.
FLORAL DEMO: International florist Jonathan Moseley will demonstrate autumnal flower arrangements at the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham, from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Tuesday, October 15. Tickets cost £52.20 and include a two-course lunch and refreshments. To book, contact 01833-690606.
