Golf tournament contributes £14,500 to St Teresa's Hospice in Darlington
A CHARITY golf tournament that attracted more than two dozen teams from across the region has raised over £14,500 for a Darlington hospice.
The 12th annual event, organised by Heritage Healthcare, saw 26 teams battle it out at Blackwell Grange Golf Club in Darlington.
The winning team came from North Shields-based company Intumescent Protective Coatings Ltd and the tournament raised £14,580 for St Teresa’s Hospice.
Heritage Healthcare director and event organiser Sally Pickersgill said: “This event shows that everyone involved in the day realises how important it is to come together and support our local Hospice, and St Teresa’s provides a crucial service for the area.”
St Teresa’s Hospice director Jane Bradshaw, added: “The support of Heritage Healthcare and Landteam during the years has been of immense value to St Teresa’s Hospice.
“The money raised over the last 12 years is phenomenal and greatly appreciated to support the vital work St Teresa’s undertakes.”
Since the tournament started in 2001 it has contributed £142,500 to St Teresa’s.
