OWNERS of a family-run Italian restaurant in North Yorkshire are celebrating after being included in the UK’s best-selling food guides for the seventh year running.
Sasso, in Princes Square, Harrogate, has been praised for its ‘sound regional Italian cooking’ in the latest edition of The Good Food Guide, which has just been published.
Chef Stefano Lancelotti, and his wife Sara, who own Sasso and sister restaurant Caffe Marconi, are pleased that, yet again, their food has been singled out for mention in the guide.
“I am really delighted to be included in The Good Food Guide – it is the UK’s best-selling restaurant guide and to be featured for the seventh year in a row is a real accolade for us here at Sasso,” said Mr Lancelotti.
In the guide, published by Waitrose, independent restaurant inspectors heaped praise on Sasso, marking them highly for their ‘sound technical skills and quality ingredients’.
And a number of the restaurant’s signature dishes, including truffled pasta ribbons served with tiger prawn, scampi, lobster, crabmeat and asparagus sauce, are singled out for special mention.
