Separate investigations launched into the deaths of two men

POLICE in Middlesbrough have launched separate investigations into the deaths of two men in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to an address on Marton Road at just after midnight.
On arrival at 12.25am a man was discovered to have suffered stab wounds and he was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where he died a short while later.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched into the death of a 23-year-old man.
The man died in James Cook University Hospital just after 1am today.
The circumstances surrounding his death are to be confirmed, but police are treating it as suspicious.
Officers are carrying out enquiries at a number of locations, including the Park Hotel on Linthorpe Road.
It is understood there is nothing to suggest the two incidents are connected.
