Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice is still closed to sick children, a month after a serious leak from a water tank. The respite centre in Normanby, Middlesbrough, is hoping to welcome back youngsters up to the age of six and their parents by the end of October by throwing a celebratory party. The tank, which is in the roof space, leaked gallons of water into rooms throughout the building, including the bereavement unit and parents' accommodation.
ABATTIOR ESCAPE: A flock of sheep that escaped from an abattoir were rounded up during the morning rush hour. Seven sheep were on the loose on the A66 and at Preston Farm Industrial Estate at about 7.55am this morning (Friday, October 4) after fleeing Cleveland Meats Company on Yarm Road in Stockton.
