A 93-YEAR-OLD former landlady has fulfilled her wish to pull a pint of beer again.
Mollie Bates, who ran a pub in Coverdale, near Leyburn, with her husband, Stan, more than 30 years ago.
The former landlandy at the Thwaites Arms pub, in Horsehouse, visited the community-owned Foresters Arms, Carlton, also in Coverdale as part of a scheme for elderly residents called Dreams Can Come True.
Mrs Bates, who lives at Brentwood Residential Home, Leyburn, made the trip along with several other elderly residents.
The wishes of other residents of the home include spending some time with children and visiting a church.
Under the watchful eye of Allan Brereton, landlord of the Foresters Arms, Mrs Moore easily accomplished her wish of pulling a pint.
Mrs Bates said: "It has been a while since I did this, but I still know how to pull a good pint of beer.”
