ARTISTS from across the region will display their work at the first pop-up exhibition organised by a college art lecturer.
The first Shout About Art exhibition will feature original work from 20 regional artists and designer-makers, including textiles, glass, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, art, photography and printmaking.
The event has been organised by Donna Slyfield, a mixed media artist and lecturer at Darlington College, who wants to give artists an outlet to show their work to the public and hopefully make a sale.
Ms Slyfield hopes to make the exhibition an annual event and perhaps use other venues around the region to attract more attention for local artists.
Shout About Art will be held at Hurworth Grange, in Hurworth, near Darlington, on Sunday, October 6, between 10am and 5pm.
The event will also raise funds for St Teresa’s Hospice, in Darlington, and Hurworth School’s art department.
Tickets cost £2 at the door. The event is free for under-14s when accompanied by a paying adult.
