Police not treating death of woman in a Darlington house as suspicious
POLICE investigating the death of a woman at a house in Darlington say that they are not treating it as suspicious.
Crime scene investigators were called to a house on Milbank Road this afternoon (Friday, September 27) and Inspector Kevan McCarthy of Darlington Police confirmed that a woman had died in her home.
He said: “We are dealing with an incident of sudden death, we are not treating it as suspicious, initially we wanted to make sure that we were satisfied that there was nothing suspicious about the circumstances.
“Crime scene investigators will gather information and take photographs to assist the coroner – that is nothing out of the ordinary, it is the normal process.”
Insp McCarthy said no details about the woman would be released until all her family had been notified.
