AN EQUINE centre has pledged to buy a new pony to provide therapy for disabled riders if it wins a community award.
The Unicorn Centre has been shortlisted in the Lloyds Bank Community Fund Award with two top cash prizes of £3,000.
The registered charity, which has a purpose built riding for the disabled facility, offers riding therapy and learning and training opportunities for over 200 disabled adults and children from the Tees Valley area each week.
Claire Pitt, centre manager, said: “Earlier this year very sadly and unexpectedly the centre lost much-loved pony Blue. Blue is absolutely irreplaceable, but with your votes we could use this award to buy a new pony to provide weekly riding therapy for local disabled riders.”
To vote for the centre visit www.communityfund.lloydsbank.com or text VOTE LKNC to 61119 until November 1.
