Man denies assaulting toddler when he appears before Teesside Magistrates' Court
A MAN has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a toddler when he appeared before magistrates today (Thursday).
David Jason Pattison, who is accused of causing actual bodily harm on a 17-month-old boy, spoke only to confirm his name and address when he entered his not guilty plea at Teesside Magistrates’ Court.
After hearing a brief outline of the case magistrates decided that the charge was outside their jurisdiction and needed to be heard at a higher court.
The 41-year-old, of Wetherall Avenue, Yarm, was released on unconditional bail until his next appearance at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, October 10.
