Choirs join together to raise funds for hospice
10:31am Thursday 26th September 2013 in News
CHOIRS from across the North-East will work together to raise money as part of a world-wide festival of singing which takes place every two years.
The Big Sing event, under the banner of Voices for Hospices, will be held on Saturday, October 12, at Carmel College, in Darlington.
Darlington’s Hadrian Singers of Haltwhistle, alongside the Morpeth Silver Singers and Durham Scratch Choir, will be running workshops on the day for singers of all abilities from 11.30am to 5pm.
The day is due to end with an informal concert at 5.30pm.
Attendance at the concert is free but the workshops cost £10 per person, to include a copy of a souvenir songbook.
All profits will be donated to local hospices.
