Brain injury charity to host drop-in session
4:14pm Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
PEOPLE living with brain injury and their carers are invited to a new charity’s first drop-in session in Darlington.
Headway Darlington and District, which had its official launch in June, will be hosting the free session on Tuesday (October 1).
The free event will be a chance for people with a brain injury – and their families and carers – to make new friends and relax in a supportive environment.
A buffet lunch will be provided and there will be an opportunity to suggest ideas for the type of service people would like Headway to offer in the area.
Giles Hudson, chairman of Headway Darlington and District, said: “We were overwhelmed by the support we received at our recent launch, and it goes to show that there is a real need for a service like ours in the Darlington area.
“We hope as many people as possible will come along on October 1 to swap ideas and have some fun.”
The session takes place at Darlington Fire Station, St Cuthbert’s Way, from 1pm to 3pm.
Anyone who would like to attend, should email Alex Plews at AlexandraP@bhplaw.co.uk or call 0191-332-4543.
