YOUNG people are being encouraged to test themselves by taking part in a Prince’s Trust Team Taster Day.
They are invited to Redcar Fire Station on Wednesday (September 18) to check the course that could help to turn their lives around.
Cleveland Fire Brigade run free, full-time, 12 week, Prince’s Trust Team programmes with the next one starting on Monday, September 30.
The programme, which is for 16-25 year olds, consists of a one-week residential team building exercise, carrying out a community project, a work placement and a team challenge.
Helen Williams, the brigade’s children and young persons services manager said: “The programme enables you to experience a sense of achievement, which will inspire you to move forward with new confidence and ambition.
“Many previous participants have gone on to achieve great things and many have commented that it has kick-started their lives. In fact more than 70 per cent of unemployed people who complete the programme have gone on to find jobs, training or education within three months.”
If you are interested in the 12 week programme, or in attending the Taster Day between 10.30am and 3pm, should call 01642-777645 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
