Man charged in connection with Catterick Garrison knife attack

A MAN has appeared in court facing charges over a knife attack in North Yorkshire.
Simon Coker, 28, from Cleveland Road in Catterick Garrison has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
The attack happened outside a property on D’Arcy Court in the garrison town at 2.10pm on Wednesday (September 11).
The 37-year-old victim was taken to the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton, following the knife attack. He still remains in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Mr Cooker appeared at Northallerton Magistrates Court today (Friday, September 13).
He was remanded in custody by magistrates and will appear at Teesside Crown Court on September 27.
