Police appeal after man seriously hurt in Catterick Garrison attack

A MAN is recovering in hospital after being attacked and beaten in broad daylight.
The 37-year-old victim suffered serious injuries in the assault at Catterick Garrison and police are now appealing for witnesses.
The man was attacked outside a property on D’Arcy Court at about 2.10pm on Wednesday, September 11, and was taken to the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident on nearby Albemarle Drive at around 3pm. He is currently being questioned.
Inquiries are continuing in the local area and officers are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Simon Hepburn said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in D’Arcy Court on Wednesday afternoon and witnessed an altercation, possibly involving three men, taking place.
“I am also interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen people running from the scene following the incident.”
