Man dies of serious wounds in Middlesbrough
POLICE have arrested a teenager after a 20-year-old man died from serious wounds.
Police and paramedics were alerted that there was a man with serious injuries in the Ellerby Green area of Middlesbrough at 7.35am today (Sunday, September 8).
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in the town but died a short time later.
The Northern Echo understands he was stabbed but that has not been confirmed by police.
A man in his late teens has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in police custody awaiting questioning.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police officers are conducting enquiries and patrolling in the area and residents should be assured that police are doing all they can to establish the circumstances of the incident.”
