A FATHER and daughter accused of using false documents to obtain a mortgage will have their case heard at crown court.
Beldav Singh, 44, of Haughton Road, Darlington, appeared at the town’s magistrates’ court along with his daughter Sonia Kaur Sanghu, 21, of Station Road, Forest Gate, London.
The pair are jointly charged with one count of fraud by false representation after they were alleged to have used false documents when applying for a £240,000 mortgage with Santander between December 14, 2010 and February 17, 2011.
They entered no pleas and magistrates declined jurisdiction. Their case was committed to Teesside Crown Court and the pair were granted conditional bail ahead of their hearing on Thursday, September 19.
