Fundraising fun at Barton Dog Show

DOGS of all shapes and sizes took part in a charity dog show held on a village green.
Competitors came from far and wide to show off their biscuit eating skills, agility and speed at the Barton Dog Show, in North Yorkshire.
The fundraising event will share the proceeds between the Barton village hall fund and Dogs Trust Darlington, based in Sadberge.
Staff from the Dogs Trust acted as judges for the event and handed out rosettes and dog biscuits as prizes.
Dogs took part in a fancy dress competition and a challenge to see who could eat a biscuit the fastest, while others showed off their tricks and took on the agility course.
A number of local people also held stalls to contribute to the fundraising, including a stall full of donated produce from Barton’s allotment holders.
Organiser Joan Marwood said: “I’d like to thank all those who came, in particular those from outside of Barton, and also the allotment holders who donated seven boxes of produce at the last moment.
“It has been a lovely day and it’s nice to see all the different dogs together.”
