FOUR men have been bailed in connection with the theft of five bikes worth thousands of pounds.
The incident happened on Wednesday, May 29, when ram raiders ploughed their car into a Stockton bike shop just months after it opened.
The men stole five Merida bikes worth £1,000 each and £50 in a cash till.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary within a couple of days of the ram raid at Stockton Cycling and Running on Bowesfield Industrial Estate.
The 27-year-old and 33-year-old were bailed pending further inquiries by officers.
Another two men, aged 24 and 41, were later arrested also on suspicion of burglary.
They have also been bailed by police.
Officers have recovered one of the stolen bikes.
A Mitsubishi Warrior believed to have been used in the burglary was found abandoned on Apsley Way, in Ingleby Barwick, the same night of the raid.
The 4x4 had been reported as stolen from the Nunthorpe area on the previous Monday.
