A MUSEUM’S grounds are set to become the venue for Stockton Borough’s very own World Record zone this Bank Holiday weekend.

Stockton’s Summer Show returns to delight crowds with a packed programme of entertainment at Preston Park Museum on Sunday 25 and Monday 26.

Amongst the attractions will be horse and bird of prey displays to a wealth of stalls, arena and side shows.

Over the two days some of the region’s best chefs will be cooking for visitors while people will be able to sample a Parmo as event hosts the famous World Parmo Competition. On Sunday evening The Wildcats of Kilkenny and Beatles tribute act, Beatlemania will be performing live with the gates opening at 6pm.

Tickets are available from Stockton’s ARC or Preston Park Museum and Grounds. Full price tickets for the concert cost £13.50, eight-16 years £5 and under 8s free. The Wildcats Picnic ticket price includes wristband for free entry to the Summer Show on the Monday.

For the first year the programme for the two day event includes the chance for residents and businesses to take part in three unusual world record attempts on the Monday - most marshmallows eaten in a minute, the fastest eating of a 12 inch pizza and the most bounces on a space hopper in a minute.
