Revving up for the ninth Swainby Classic Car Show
UP to 500 vintage vehicles are set to descend on a village for an event to raise funds for a hospice.
The ninth Swainby Classic Car Show, which will be held in the village between Stokesley and Northallerton on Sunday (August 25) from 10.30am to 4.30pm, will feature classic cars, motorbikes and tractors.
Event organiser Geoff Newton said he hoped to provide a boost for Teesside Hospice, in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, which needs to raise £4,600 a day to maintain its services.
Mr Newton said: “It gets bigger and bigger every year and we are expecting 500 vehicles to attend from all over the North East.”
Entry the show is £4 for adults and free for under 16s.
