Two men required hospital treatment following gang attack in Middlesbrough

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked assault in which two men suffered injuries which required hospital treatment.
Shortly before 1.15am on Sunday, August 18, an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were assaulted by a group of between five to seven others.
The assault began on Sunnybank near to the roundabout at Ormesby and then continued into the adjacent Overfields housing estate.
The 21-year-old man suffered a broken ankle and the 18-year-old man lost two front teeth in the attack.
Officer would like to speak a man who assisted the two victims after they were assaulted and who stayed with them until an ambulance arrived. Both men were taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.
The group are described as white males and one black male, believed to have been aged between 17 and 20-years-old. They were wearing tracksuit bottoms and one male was wearing a blue basebell cap.
