Teenagers stage Thirsk wildlife exhibition
AN EXHIBITION of wildlife photography and artwork by two teenagers is taking place later this month.
The display at St Mary’s Church in Thirsk features work by boyfriend and girlfriend Nathaniel Dargue, and Amy Smith.
It will show a range of wildlife depicted by photographer Nathaniel, 17, a student at Thirsk Sixth Form College and artwork by Amy Smith, 16, who will be attending Askham Bryan College in September.
Nature’s Images runs from Saturday, August 17 until Saturday, August, 31 from 10am until 4pm and from 12pm on Sundays.
Amy said: “Our photos and artwork range from barn owls to red squirrels and deer to brown hares. Our main subject is birds, but I think most people will be astonished by the huge array and how exotic some of Britain’s species can look.”
Admission is free, but donations to St Mary’s Church are welcome.
