Darlington men charged with conspiring to steal off-road vehicles appear in court

TWO men have appeared in court charged with conspiring to steal off-road motor vehicles in North Yorkshire.
Jack Taylor and Lewis Denis Hickson, both 24 and from Darlington, are alleged to have plotted to steal off-road motor vehicles from Helmsley and Sutton-Under-Whitestone-Cliff, near Thirsk.
They entered no pleas when they appeared at Northallerton Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, July 26) and were granted conditional bail ahead of their appearance at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, August 8.
The pair were arrested on Monday (July 22) on the A1 near Knaresborough, in North Yorkshire, along with a third man, Ian Frank McCallum, also from Darlington.
The 40-year-old appeared at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (July 24) charged with receiving stolen goods, driving without due car and attention, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday, August 7.
