A BUSY road linking Darlington and Teesside is to be closed for five days for maintenance.
A section of the A67 between the Durham Tees Valley Airport and the boundary with the Stockton local authority area, to the east, will be closed from Monday, June 24.
The carriageway will be resurfaced and the road markings will be replaced during the work, which is expected to take up to five days.
The diversion route will be signed and take drivers via Mill Lane up to Long Newton, then along the A66 to Durham Lane to get to Egglescliffe.
A spokeswoman for Darlington Borough Council said the authority apologises to drivers for the disruption expected to be caused by the road closure.
