CANCER SUPPORT: The Friarage hospital’s breast cancer support group is urging people to support its annual Pink Stall by donating cakes and any unwanted gifts. The fundraising stall will be held in the Town Hall, Northallerton, on Saturday, April 27 from 9am to noon as part of a Charities’ Fayre hosted by Northallerton Rotary Club. Donations can be left at the Scott Suite at the Friarage and will be gratefully received by Breast Cancer Support Northallerton. BOOK NIGHT: Castle Hill Bookshop, Richmond, is celebrating World Book Night on Tuesday, April 23 with a giveaway of 100 books by well-known authors. Books include The Island by Victoria Hislop, The Road Home by Rose Tremain, Little Face by Sophie Hannah and Why be Happy When You Could be Normal? LADIES CHOIR: Richmond choir Musicality will be performing a fundraising concert at the Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond, on Monday, April 29 at 7.30pm. The programme includes spirituals, songs from stage and screen, pop classics, and songs by modern choral composers including John Rutter, Howard Goodall and Eric Whitacre. There will also be guest cellist Jeremy Harbottle. Tickets cost £5 to £10, available at the box office on 01748-825252.
