A BEGINNER’S guide to gardening course, covering everything from propagation to pruning, is being held in Middlesbrough’s historic Stewart Park.
The classes, which run over six weeks, will provide a step-by-step introduction to horticulture, with sessions including seed-sowing, propagation by cuttings, pruning and different types of soils.
No previous experience is needed, although a general interest in gardening, a love of being outdoors and a willingness to learn are essential, said course tutor, Nicky Morgan, who has 25 years horticultural experience.
The course costs £30 and takes place over six three-hour Thursday sessions from 1pm to 3pm in the Bolckow Visitor Centre, in Middlesbrough, starting on Thursday, May 9.
